The Rías Baixas boast white sandy beaches, viewpoints overlooking the estuaries, and a rich historical heritage evident in its villages, manor houses and monasteries. Monte Lobeira, one of the area’s most iconic viewpoints, offers panoramic views over the Arousa estuary, providing a sweeping vista of the entire region surrounding our project.

Combining coastal routes with rural visits is the best way to make the most of the area without long journeys.

Those seeking rural tourism in the Rías Baixas usually want more than just sightseeing. Activities in the Rías Baixas to learn how to grow your own produce

Discover our organic gardening school!

In Vilanova, we have set up an organic farming school for those who want to learn how to grow crops without chemicals and in harmony with the natural cycle. Sessions are booked by appointment and tailored to the crops you’re most interested in. No previous experience is necessary.

You don’t need to have a rented allotment either, although many visitors end up taking the plunge after the first session.

The programme is organised by season, with practical guidance on soil preparation, sowing, tending and harvesting. It is one of the most useful activities in the Rías Baixas for getting the most out of your family vegetable garden. What’s more, it can be combined with visits to the vineyard or the camellia garden.

Appointments are arranged by telephone to tailor the topic, date and duration to the visitor’s interests.
